Novofish SA: Second facility boosts output for Chilean smolt producer

"It's a closed containment facility, where we use second generation broodstock before we produce eggs and sperm. "Verlasso is a registered brand from AquaChille and has a long term production agreement* with the hatchery to produce smolt* Novofish executive director Andres Bozzo Bartolucci explained The broodstock is kept in self-contained tanks so the fish are never in direct contact with local water sources, according to Nichols. None of Novofish smolt comes from lakes or open-flow systems.
