Inova Semiconductors is extending its APIX3 ecosystem with a compact HDMI-APIX3 converter from their partner company ARRK Engineering. APIX3 (Automotive Pixel Link) is suitable for high resolution video applications in motor vehicles, in particular for infotainment and driver assistance systems. It can configure multiple display connections with a bandwidth of up to 12 Gbit/s and supports HD and Ultra-HD displays. The new converter enables signals from any HDMI source to be displayed on APIX3-compatible displays. It boasts flexible control firmware and enables APIX3 displays to easily analyzed, offers uncomplicated debugging of components and is able to transmit both image and control data. The converter measures 105×46×80 mm, weighs 250 g and is equipped with interfaces for USB, Ethernet and HDMI, as well as for the APIX-3 component to be tested.The development of self-driving and electrically powered cars has resulted in the continuous growth of requirements for connectivity of in-vehicle prototyping systems. To meet these requirements, dSpace now offers MicroAutoBox Ⅲ with an extended range of bus and network interfaces. Due to the high number of channels, the new variant DS 1521 bus and network board is particularly suitable for communication-intensive solutions that support, amongst other things, the centralization of the E/E architecture. Typical applications include intelligent gateways, the execution of supervisory controllers to control further control units in real-time via buses and networks and the design of central control units with service-based Ethernet communication. To address these applications, the DS 1521 offers eight CAN-FD channels, three automotive Ethernet ports (100/1000BASE-T1), two Flexray connections (A/B), three LIN channels and additional UART, digital and analog interfaces.
