The further development of batteries for electric mobility is mostly taking center stage and promises both a steady increase in ranges and a more compact design of energy storage systems in the future. In order to improve these values already today with existing technology, APL is pursuing the approach of an Artificial Intelligence Framework to drive the entire development process from the selection of the cell format to the integration into the overall system, but also topics such as the optimal use of battery capacity and the expansion of the operating window. Dr?xlmaier uses its improved calculation model especially for highperformance all-electric or hybrid vehicles: In addition to cell selection, the?appropriate algorithms in the battery management system are particularly decisive for optimal utilization of the systems. This?is intended to resolve the trade-off between maximum range and maximum performance in the best possible way. The model used allows? the systems to be optimized through improved prediction accuracy.
