DESPITE ALL THE DISRUPTIONS from the COVID-19 pandemic— most notably the loss of the on-premise market—the sparkling wine category has enjoyed a stellar year in terms of sales.prior to the pandemic, sparkling at all price points was doing well compared to the general wine category, and that strength has continued. As 2020 comes to an end, it may not seem as if there were many reasons to celebrate at home during the past year,but several of the largest sparkling wine producers report that consumers seem to have done just that.
