The premise of this book is an interesting one—not that reputation in itself is intrinsically valuable and thus worth pursuing, but that the structure of the online universe, the Internet in all is forms, is actually changing the way individuals and organizations are being perceived and treated. The goal of this collection of articles is to assess and understand the cultural dynamics under way, in the hope of actually understanding where technology (and software design) is headed—and how it is influencing the way we interact with others now and in the future.
