Akita University Develops Easy Recycling Method for Rare-Earth Metals, Including Those in LiB Cathodes

Researchers at Akita University have developed a method that enables the easy recycling of rare-earth metals and other metal resources. By simply adding commonly used chemicals to an aqueous solution containing metallic salt, the method causes the metal salt to precipitate as a solid.
