Chemical Industry Eyes Inner Mongolia with Succession of New Facilities

Investment in Inner Mongolia is booming, with fixed asset investment outside of farmers in the region up 91.8 percent and private investment up 77.6 percent year-on-year for this January–February. The chemical industry too is increasingly investing in the region. This month, Inner Mongolia Jiangzheng Fine Chemical Co. Ltd. announced plans to invest 100 million yuan (ff14.94 million) in building a manufacturing plant that will produce 5,000 tons of 1,2-dimethoxyethane, 10,000 tons of diglyme and 200 tons of chlorinated propylene glycol monomethyl ether per year. Construction will begin this September and is slated for completion in March 2024.
