IRPC Positions Acetylene Black and More for Use in EV Parts

IRPC PCL, part of Thailand’s state-owned PTT Group, is showing an increased interest in materials for electric vehicles (EVs). One key here is acetylene black, a type of carbon black that holds promise for use in EVs. R&D is under way to give the material properties suited for use in high-end LiBs – and already, it has racked up a track record as a conductive additive in LiB cathode materials.
