Expectations of “record” annual growth in Ukrainian CP market

Ukrainian crop protection businesses are anticipated to have registered “record” sales this year, driven by enhanced prices of agricultural produce and favourable monsoons. The projection was made by Ukrainian company Alfa Smart Agro (Kiev), which estimates the domestic retail crop protection market will have improved by 12% to a little over $1 billion. In terms of volumes, expected sales will have been pegged at 87,700 tonnes.
