Bayer reportedly shortlists bidders for professional products business

Bayer’s Crop Science division is reportedly progressing with its planned divestment of a non-crop pesticide business. German business publication Handelsblatt reports that the company has selected bidders to submit binding offers. The shortlist includes private equity businesses, Cinven, CVC and Apax. Bayer says that it does not comment on media “rumours”, but confirms that the planned divestment remains on the professional products unit of its Environmental Science business.
