Nissan Chemical’s Q2 agchem sales rise 3%

Nissan Chemical’s consolidated agrochemical sales (including some veterinary products) improved by 3.4% to ￥11,547 million ($101.3 million at the current rate) for its second fiscal quarter ended September 30th 2021. However, operating income during the period eroded some 23% to settle at ￥2,894 million ($25.4 million). For the first six months, the company reported a decline in both metrics, with sales contracting by 3.1% to ￥24,950 million ($218.8 million), and operating income narrowing by around 10% to ￥6,991 million ($61.3 million).
