Corteva/Harvard MIT Broad Inst sign CRISPR-Cas9 deal with FuturaGene

Biotechnology company FuturaGene has entered into a licensing deal with Corteva Agriscience and US non- profit research organisation Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, to access their CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing technology intellectual property for agricultural use. FuturaGene will use patented genome editing technology to develop new, improved eucalyptus varieties “that are more productive, resistant to diseases and pests and have improved fibre properties”.
