Crocus biflorus in Anatolia

摘要

In the first part of this article we will examine the Crocus biflorus Aggregate (Iridaccac) in Anatolia, Turkey. This species, which has given our gardens a host of charming little cornous plants, has one of the widest distribution of all Crocus species, with a centre of distribution in south-west Anatolia. In this paper all known Anatolian subspecies of C. biflorus are presented, together with two new taxa which are described in detail.
