Orient Paper makes progress with capacity expansion

Chinese Orient Paper is about to commission its refitted specialty paper machine PM 1 in Baoding City, Hebei province. The machine has a capacity of 50,000 tpy of insulation paper and is to start production in the second quarter, the manufacturer informed. The company is also making progress with the installation of its first tissue machine at the new site in Wei County. PM 8 has a capacity of 15,000 tpy of tissue and will be commissioned in the second half of 2014. The machine will be complemented by a second facility with the same capacity next year. With this move, the company joins a number of other Asian manufacturers that have entered the tissue business.
