South Africa dumps AD duties on coated paper from China

South Africa has decided against imposing permanent anti-dumping duties on coated paper originating in or imported from the People's Republic of China and South Korea.The investigation by the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) into the alleged dumping of coated paper revealed that no paper has been sold on the South African market at dumping prices. The provisional customs duty regulations introduced in September last year and applicable until 14 March 2014 have consequently not been extended. They provided for an antidumping duty of 14.14% on imports from China and 17.25% on imports from South Korea. Excluded from the action was paper from the two South Korean manufacturers Hansol Paper and Arton Paper.
