Syngenta/Provivi debut pest mating disruption tech in Indonesia

Syngenta Crop Protection has debuted its pheromone-based pest mating disruption solution, Nelvium, in Indonesia to protect rice crops from “key” pests such as rice stem borers (Scirpophaga incertulas). The product has been rolled out in collaboration with US pheromone-based crop protection company Provivi (Santa Monica, California), with the partners claiming it to be the first product of its kind in the country for use on rice.
