The Staged Electronic Data Deliverable (SEDD) is a neutral format for the delivery of analytical data from environmental testing laboratories.It supports multiple requesters' needs depending on the level of reporting requirements as the format clearly reports data from both simple and complex laboratory processes.Delivery of analytical data in the SEDD format is now a requirement for certain programs within United States (US) government agencies and is a possibility for adoption in analoguous European institutions.Using SEDD as the basis of electronic delivery of analytical data will decrease both public and private sector costs by reducing the number of electronic formats that laboratories and agencies have to support.It will also ease data exchange between various programs and agencies in the USA that must work together routinely or under emergency circumstances.
