The Department of Fertilizers (DoF) has given its approval for a urea purchase tender to be issued imminently. State- controlled importer MMTC is expected to announce a tender within the next day or so. The quantity of urea required will be unspecifed, but around 1mn t is likely to be bought for probable shipment through December and into early January.
