Participation of auxins in regulation of bacterial and plant gene expression.

摘要

A review of auxin-regulated expression of specific genes (ARG) in phytopathogenic agrobacteria and plants is presented. It is emphasized that the role of IAA should be elucidated in the regulation of genome functioning in a wide spectrum of auxin-producing bacteria in the absence of plants. Possible involvement of some auxin-binding proteins and the process of phosphorylation-dephosphorylation of crucial proteins in the delivering of a signal from auxins to ARG are considered. ARG promoter cis-elements (AuxRE) which are important for auxin-induced transcription and protein factors interacting with AuxRE are described. Auxins are able to affect post-transcriptional events by stabilizing mRNAs of some ARGs. The proposed structure, subcellular localization and function of some ARG-encoded proteins are described.
