Urea sales were 2.52mn t in February, down by 7pc on the same month in 2020. The cumulative total for sales April 2020-February 2021 was about 32.9mn t, up 3pc year-onyear. Total sales for the 2020-21 fiscal year now seem set to total about 34.5mn t, slightly below the previous estimate of 35mn t. After a big increase in the first four months of the year, sales have fallen below prior-year levels every month since August.
