A large buyer is discussing 20-25,000t of prilled urea for April shipment to the east coast. A trader has offered Libyan urea in the high-$390s/t cfr for two port discharge, while offers from other origins are above $400/t cfr. Urea imports rose by 24pc or 365,000t in Mexico in 2020, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics/GTT, to more than 1.9mn t. This is the highest figure on record.
