After the 1 February budget, attention will refocus on import needs and the next tender. Preliminary estimations suggest an announcement early/mid-February, for shipment during March ahead of kharif. Domestic sales 1-26 January totalled 3.21mn t, compared with 4.02mnt for all of January 2019, suggesting a slight slowdown in sales again.
