Qingtongxia Aluminum and Indian Ashapura to jointly build alumina refinery

Ningxia Qingtongxia Aluminum Group Co., Ltd has recently inked a deal with Indian Ashapura Group of Industries to jointly develop bauxite resource in India, source from the company said. Both sides will set up a joint venture to construct and operate an alumina project with capacity of 1.0 million tpy. The project with total investment of USD600 million will be completed by two stages. Qingtongxia Aluminum owns 50 percent of stake in the joint venture while Ashapura hold the remaining 50 percent.
