Russian coal prices in Europe rise

Russian high-grade coal prices in Europe increased this week, despite softer European values. Prices for European customers rose by $1.02/t on the week to $53.42/t fob Baltic ports. No assessment-relevant trades were reported. Some traders with Russian coal in stock said they were ready to conclude deals at $51/t fob for June shipment and around $53.50/t for July, but there was little buyer interest in offers above $51/t fob, according to market participants.
