Northern Ireland Branch Report

The Northern Ireland Branch started its 2017 programme with a joint technical meeting with the CIHT on 16 January held at the David Keir Building, Queen University Belfast. Both professional bodies were delighted to have Stephen Child as the speaker to give a talk on Sustainable Highway Maintenance. His presentation explored the topic of getting best value and results in the context of reduced budgets. Good practice was discussed and Stephen gave the audience examples of what has and hasn't worked well from his extensive experience of PFI and PPP projects.
