New Year and a little bit of cheer

Happy New Year everyone. The sector has started we doing good business, with work underway, a strong pipeline of schemes coming forward and, if you will allow me, an outstanding Highways Awards event. Fora couple of hours in January, the doom and gloom was washed away with celebration, camaraderie and cocktails and it was really touching to see social media buzzing with pictures of our sector smiling #HighwaysAwards20. Congratulations to our winners and finalists. You were designated key workers, but you earned the title highways heroes for your amazing work throughout 2020. This was a chance to honour you and I am so proud we did it in style.
