No deals for import scrap done in Turkey

Little business is done in the Turkish steel scrap market, as before. Taking into account reduced domestic and export quotations for square billet and rebar, steelmakers avoid imports of the material this week as they consider current prices unreasonably high. Producers say they would resume purchases if quotations for the material dropped by at least $5-10/t. Turkish companies can afford to delay scrap imports having ample stocks to operate during the next few weeks.
