Korean HRC exporters hold firm to price

Regardless of Japan scrap growing further, South Korean exporters of HRC have been holding firm to the price on slower buying during holidays. POSCO is now quoting its grade SAE1006 HRC at $640/t FOB after a $20/t upturn a week ago, the level being equal to that of Dongbu Steel. Hyundai Steel’s SAE1006 HRC is still $10/t higher, grade SS400 of JIS G310 standard being priced at $630/t FOB.
