2021 SEP 27 (NewsRx) - By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Disease Prevention Daily - Fresh data on Environment - Atmospheric Pollution are presented in a new report. According to news reporting originating from Xiamen, People's Republic of China, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, "To investigate the influence of pollution control on particulate matter with a diameter <2.5 mu m (PM2.5), 40 samples were collected before and during the 2017 BRICS summit (BRICS) in an urban and a suburban area of the city of Xiamen, China. The average urban and suburban area PM2.5 concentrations during the BRICS were 26.3% and 35.9% lower than those before the summit, respectively." Funders for this research include National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Natural Science Foundation of Fujian Province, Fund of Key Laboratory of Global Change and Marine-Atmospheric Chemistry, SOA, Subsidized Project for Postgraduates' Innovative Fund in Scientific Research of Huaqiao University, Fujian Province College Students' innovation and entrepreneurship training program.
