摘要

This article presents the flow and heat transfer characteristics of a steady rotating flow of Sisko fluid driven by a bi-directional stretching sheet. The modeled equations through partial differential equations are reduced to couple ordinary differential equations using a suitable similarity transformation. The resulting equations are solved numerically using adaptive Runge Kutta algorithm in combination with the shooting technique. The numerical results for the velocity, temperature and concentration are graphically presented and effects of the governing parameters are discussed in detail. The results reveal that the velocity boundary layer thickness along x-axis is decreasing but velocity boundary layer thickness along y-axis is an increasing function of rotation parameter λ. Moreover, the velocity graph for rotation parameter A increases but the velocity graph for Sisko fluid parameter A decreases. Further, the skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number for different values of Biot number Bi, the power-law index and stretching ratio parameter are presented through tabulated data.
