Non-reinforced and reinforced polyamides of the kind used in the electrical and electronics industry cannot dispense with a nonflammable finish. A halogen-free and antimony-free flameproofing system based on zinc sulphide and melamine cyanurate has been designed specifically for this class of materials. It only takes relatively small amounts to produce good flameproofing values. [References: 11]
