Energy saving Triac control for AC-asynchronous motors

摘要

The speed adjustment of asynchronous motors is a proven method to reduce the energy demand and at fan applications the sound of the air flow. This paper compares the usual possibilities of adjustment and shows a solution with a microprocessorcontrolled triac circuit which makes possible robuster operation points, increases the starting torque and reduces the energy demand at low speeds.
