Five bidders for M25 scheme

A much-delayed ￡35 million proposal for work around junctions nine and 10 of the M25 at Cobham in Surrey has finally been kicked back into gear. The Highways Agency put the scheme together to make way for the UK's largest service station and pre-qualification questionnaires were returned in January 2010. Five contractors were shortlisted in March to price the scheme but the service station operator, Swayfields, subsequently crashed into administration and the Agency put the project on ice.
