Finance deal scaled for loW maintenance contract

VINCI and Ringway have finally secured funding for a much-delayed and controversial Private Finance Initiative concession to upgrade the road network on the Isle of Wight. At the start of the summer, Island Road Services, a joint venture between the two groups, beat a bid from another French-owned contractor, Colas, to preferred bidder status on the 25-year deal at the deal, which will now be funded by BTMU, DZ, KfW and SMBC banks.
