Most of Northern Ireland's leading civils contractors are in the frame for a contract to widen a stretch of the A2 Shore Road at Greenisland in the province's capital, Belfast that could cost up to ￡57 million. Farrans, FP McCann, Graham, Lagan and County Mayo outfit Wills Construction are all believed to be in the running for the design and build deal. Tenders must be returned by November 9 and a start on site is mooted for the earlier part of 2013.
