摘要

Having to integrate with a traffic management schedule in place for the routine maintenance works placed a broad range in output requirements on the joint repair programme, ranging from 400m in one shift that was 'tarmac heavy' to over 2,500m in another shift to make best use of a road closure. "When we saw the programme we had to work with, we could see there were going to be some logistical issues," explains Paul Winter - Operations Director of LMS Highways, "With both high and low output requirements and jobs going ahead over different sections of the network, we could see that we were going to need to utilise both our machine and hand crews effectively."
