VALE, Brazil's mining giant, has halted some operations due to heavy rainfall in the southeastern Minas Gerais region. It has partly halted train services on the Estrada de Ferro Vitoria a Minas railway on the Rio Piracicaba-Joao Monlevade stretch, Vale said, which forced production to be halted in the southeastern system, namely in the Brucutu and Mariana complexes.
