Simplified route to qualification

IHE's membership and qualifications portfolio group is developing a process to help engineers who have experience only training and are working in senior positions to become registered at CEng level. Called the experiential registration route it aims to launch by spring 2014. It is also working to develop a new simplified route to lEng for candidates who have completed a relevant NVQ6 qualification. An extensive audit of the IHE's reviewer pool is also underway to ensure the right number of reviews are held in the right places and with the right specialisms.
