Judging the industry

It was an honour for me to be involved in this year's Highways Magazine Excellence Awards, which were first launched 10 years ago. Although I wasn't allowed to vote I got the opportunity to observe our esteemed panel of judges in action. It was great to have so much industry knowledge under one roof and listen to the views of people who have been considering issues and working in fields related to highways for many years. It is vital that the industry receives recognition for all the hard work and innovation that is taking place - which is why our Excellence Awards are so important.
