JAGM (Joint Air-to-Ground Missile)

The Joint Air-to-Ground Missile, formerly known as the AGM-169 Joint Common Missile (JCM), Common Modular Missile (CMM) and Common Missile, is the designation for a new precision attack missile originally intended to replace both the TOW and Hellfire. In FY03, the Army changed the requirement with the JCM now replacing the Hellfire on Army and Marine attack helicopters, and being used in its Spiral 2 version on the US Navy F/A-18E/F strike aircraft instead of the AGM-65 Maverick. The missile would be capable of engaging both armored and unarmored targets, with a cost objective of no more than $100,000 per missile with an acquisition objective of 73,000-100,000 missiles.
