Russian Tactical Ballistic Missiles

This repoit covers Russian tactical ballistic missiles being offered on the export market. At the present, the main systems are the 9K79 Tochka (SS-21 Scarab) and Iskander (SS-26 Stone). The Tochka is a short-range system, comparable to the US Army's MGM - 52 Lance or the newer MGM-140 AfACMS. The Sskander tactical ballistic missile, is replacing the outdated Scud missile. This is being developed in two versions, the MTCR-compliant lskander-E, and the longer-range Iskandr-M/Tender for the Russian army. The Russians began offering this missile for export in 1999.
