Domestic prices to start descending not until spring

The uptrend continued in Ukraine's domestic steel scrap market in January amid a seasonal drop in scrap collection as well as high quotes abroad. Mills' purchase prices for base-grade material (size of up to 1,200-1,500x600x600 mm; carload of over 55 t) reached UAH 7,750-7,800/t by mid-January (up 7% from the December average).
