MILAN

The MILAN (Missile d'/nfanterie Leger ANtichar) is a second-generation, medium-range wire-guided anti-armor missile manufactured by the Franco-German Euromissile consortium (Aerospatiale and MBB). The system is man-portable and can also be mounted on vehicles or used on helicopters. The weapon system entered production in 1972. The MILAN 2 is an enhanced version of the missile, featuring an improved warhead and an extended nose probe to increase penetration. It entered production in 1984.
