Export prices to keep decreasing in February

Since late December, A3 scrap prices have dropped by 5% on average depending on region. Prices for Turkish steel products will continue going down in February amid tepid domestic demand and toughening competition in export mar? kets with China, Metal Expert forecasts. Although it is mostly flat steel that generates profits now, scrap importers will push for lower prices citing weak market for long products. Meanwhile, stabilization of rebar prices will help maintain scrap quotes in March-April.
