Mills’ prices to keep going up in August

For July deliveries, domestic prices for 57-108 mm welded pipes (GOST10704(05)) rose by 2-4%.Force majeure and consequent repairs at MMK made flats supply towelded pipe makers limited in July. This did not lead to a shortage ofHR coils, though stocks of relatively cheap feedstock slumped in theEuropean part of the country. Given relatively low pipe inventories,selling prices will hinge on changes in costs of welded pipe productionin the forecast period. In August, domestic HRC prices to welded pipeproducers will gain 2-5% to stay intact in September-October, MetalExpert forecasts.
