A Malaysian government agency sought the expertise of the University of Huddersfield as part of its drive to boost the country's advanced manufacturing sector and to strengthen links between scientific researchers and industry. After requesting a visit, four officials of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (M1DA) came to the University and inspected facilities that included its X-ray Diffraction Lab. featuring state-of-the-art Bruker technology, and the International Institute for Accelerator Applications, where they were addressed by the Physicist Professor Bob Cywinski.
