BIG RIVER STEEL PLANS TO CONSTRUCT ANOTHER MINI-MILL

USA’s Big River Steel plans to construct another mini-mill for flats in Brownsvill, Texas. The plant will be similar to an existing one in Osceola, Arkansas, using more advanced technology, Metal Expert learnt from the company’s announcement. “In other words, the mill would be even further automated than what Big River Steel is today, and it would likely be even more energy efficient,” specified David Stickler, CEO of Big River Steel. The finished products will be shipped to automotive, energy and appliance sectors.
