China’s Re imports from Myanmar rise by 102pc

Chinese imports of rare earth ores from Myanmar surged in August by 102pc from a year earlier, while shipments of rare earth metal ores from the US fell by 72pc, according to Chinese customs data. China’s total imports of rare earth ores from Myanmar, including rare earth oxide and carbonate ores, increased to 2,222t in August, accounting for 80pc of the country’s total imports of 2,773t and up by 102pc from August 2019.
