摘要

The stability of 21 cowpea cultivars for flowering and maturity was evaluated under four environments created by four planting dates in a field experiment conducted in Haryana, India during the kharif season of 2000. Significant differences were observed among the genotypes (G) and environments (E). Similarly, G x E interaction was highly significant. The behaviour of cultivars HC 98-50, 98-51, 98-52, TC 99-1, CACZ-10, GC 9210, HC 98-30, GC 3 and Pusa Phalguni under the four environments in terms of number of days to 50% flowering was predictable, whereas those of the remaining genotypes were unpredictable. For number of days to maturity, the behaviour of HC 98-30, CACZ 10, GC 9210 and Pusa Phalguni was predictable, whereas those of the remainingcultivars were unpredictable. Pusa Phalguni was the earliest-maturing and had an above-average responsiveness and good stability. Average performance and responsiveness were recorded by HC 98-30, CACZ 10 and GC 9210.
