China Steel Corporation approves investments in third stage of coke production upgrade

Taiwan’s China Steel Corporation (CSC) has approved investment in “Coke Oven and CDQ Construction Phase III Project” at the Kaohsiung plant, Metal Expert learnt from the company’s press release. According to the source, the company’s Board of Directors has decided to invest TWD 7.96 billion (about USD 285.9 million) to launch the Phase III. The project is aimed at updating existing equipment and improving environment protection. The planned period for the stage is 5 years and 4 months – from September 1, 2021 until December 31, 2026.
